Rowing since 1858
Welcome to rowing with Corpus Christi College, Oxford where academic and sporting excellence come together to create a truly unique experience.
Our Boat Club is a strong and exciting community built on the principles of team work, determination, support and hard work, to create a nurturing environment where everyone is encouraged to pursue their passion for rowing.
We believe that through preparation, practice, and hard work, we can achieve personal excellence and drive team success. Our dedication to this sport generates a high level of support, pride, and continued tradition for all members of the Corpus community to share.
Whether you're an experienced rower or a complete novice, we welcome and encourage everyone to join us and this exciting club.

The overwhelming majority of our rowers learn to row from scratch here. We run a big programme in Michaelmas Term every year and have subsequent opportunities to join throughout the year.
Everyone is encouraged to pick up a blade and to give it a go!
We have a strong contingent of senior rowers, many of whom pick up rowing in their first year and continue to their final year.
As seniors you have a lot of opportunities to race both on the River Isis and on other stretches of water.
We are supportive of those wanting to cox. We provide opportunities throughout the year to learn to cox with our senior crews. We encourage all our senior rowers to learn to cox as well so we have strong coxing knowledge across the Boat Club.
If you have any questions for the Club please do get in touch.

Text; for the History section, we are thankful for the support from the college's archivist, Julian Reid, and the good-will and direction of Joanna Snelling and everyone in the library, allowing us to borrow and read a significant amount of Pelican Records. We are also indebted to Rebecca Lindhout for the text and stories collected from former members for a previous CCCBC website.
